27 Jun Rail Live success for Railathe!
On 19th and 20th June, Yellow Rail exhibited for the first time at Rail Live!
This outdoor exhibition, held at the Long Marston Quinton Rail Technology in Warwickshire offered show visitors the opportunity to see demonstrations of both the Railathe and the Mobile Wheel Reprofiling Service on a railway vehicle throughout the two days of the show. The MWRS has been developed in partnership with VTG, Europe’s largest wagon owner.
“We have been delighted by the response of visitors to our system. Central to this is having the opportunity to watch the Yellow Rail team operating the lathe in a true railway environment” said Cat Appleby, Customer Account Director. “The tactile nature of the exhibition meant that our customers could really explore the system as well as have on the spot discussions about how the system can support their individual requirements”.
“The quality of the finish has surprised many visitors” said Engineering & Technical Director Zeph Grant, “The perception is that a smaller lathe can not deliver the high standards of the Railway industry. The reality is the Railathe is a highly accurate CNC lathe delivering an accurate and high quality finish: exactly what the industry expects from any wheel lathe.”
An album of the show will shortly be launched on our news pages.
